Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering superior quality care by adhering to the nursing care plan while supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. This position emphasizes patient and employee safety, embracing the core values and standards of care within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to create individualized care plans.
• Identify patient education needs and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program by providing direct care through assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching upon admission.
• Communicate significant changes in patient status to relevant care providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise ancillary nursing personnel and support their professional development.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety standards according to hospital policies.
• Foster a positive work environment and engage in team-building activities.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested, ensuring effective use of time and staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift for specific units.
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required; ICU experience is desired.

Schedule

This position requires a night shift of 3x12.0 hours.
