Intermediate Care Unit Registered Nurse

This is a 3 × 12-hour shifts position with a schedule of 07:00 – 19:30, totaling 36 hours per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in the Intermediate Care Unit, part of the Float Pool, providing care to patients in a variety of settings including Med/Surg, PCU, and ICU. The position requires expertise in nursing principles, theories, and techniques to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under the direction of licensed physicians.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate care needs for assigned patients.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to individualize care plans.
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care.
• Provide nursing care for patients with complex withdrawal syndromes, hypertensive conditions, and DKA.
• Ensure compliance with administrative and departmental policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 2 years of experience in a relevant clinical specialty and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
• Current Registered Nurse License in PA or Multi-State License Compact.
• Basic Life Support certification required; additional certifications may be required per specialty area.
