Registered Nurse - Neuro MedSurg

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) on weekdays, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care to patients with diverse neurological conditions in a 26-bed unit. The unit specializes in managing patients with CVA, TBI, seizure disorders, spinal cord injuries, and those in an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a patient population with complex neurological conditions.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes in status to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in orientation and training sessions as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred.
• Valid WV or Compact RN License required; pending license considered.
• Previous charge experience is advantageous.
