Registered Nurse - MedSurg Medical Stroke

12-hour night shifts, with weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our MedSurg Medical Stroke Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing patients with strokes and knowledge of the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is preferred. This role includes caring for a diverse population with conditions such as COPD, pneumonia, abdominal pain, and postoperative recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced MedSurg environment.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Utilize the EPIC charting system for patient documentation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in the management of stroke patients post-TPA treatment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS (AHA) Certification is required.
• Valid Registered Nurse license is required.
• Experience with EPIC and travel nursing is highly preferred.
