Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols. This position requires a compassionate individual who can assist patients with daily activities and maintain a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care based on standards of care and established policies under the direction of a licensed nurse.
  • Collect basic health data and assist patients with daily activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Prioritize patient care and seek assistance when necessary to ensure safety and effective interventions.
  • Document patient information accurately and timely following established standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, identifying and addressing hazards.
  • Communicate pertinent patient information to the supervising licensed nurse and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in team learning initiatives and support the orientation of new staff.
  • Identify risks to patient safety and report incidents appropriately.
  • Ensure patients are well-groomed and dressed appropriately during their stay.
  • Transport patients for scheduled tests and activities, as needed.
  • Launder patient clothing and maintain its condition for their use.
  • Perform safety checks and monitor patient activity to ensure a safe environment.
  • Engage in patient groups and activities and assist with ambulation to improve functionality.

Schedule

This is a 24-hour position with evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, including every other weekend and holiday.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification required or equivalent qualifications.
  • AHA CPR certification obtained within 60 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a long-term care facility is preferred.
