Registered Nurse - Stepdown/MedSurg

Schedule

This position is for 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with available schedules of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday OR Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team in a dynamic 29-bed Stepdown/MedSurg unit, currently under construction and set to open in the first quarter of 2026. This flex unit will serve both floor and step-down patients depending on hospital needs, supporting a diverse patient population with primarily medical diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in both stepdown and medical-surgical settings.
• Manage nurse-patient ratios of 3:1 for stepdown and 6:1 for the floor.
• Administer medications and titrate drips based on physician orders, including heparin, insulin, anti-hypertensives, antiarrhythmics, and PCA medications.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs and develop care plans.
• Utilize EPIC for patient charting and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Must have EPIC experience.
• BLS certification required.
• New or experienced nurses are welcome to apply.
