Registered Nurse - Stepdown/MedSurg

Schedule

This position offers a 12-hour day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with options for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, and Monday schedules.

Job Description

Join a dynamic nursing team on a 29-bed stepdown/MedSurg unit designed to cater to diverse medical diagnoses. This flex unit will serve both stepdown and floor patients as per the hospital's needs. The unit is currently under construction and scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in both stepdown and med-surg capacities
• Manage nurse-patient ratios of 3:1 in stepdown and 6:1 on the floor
• Titrate assigned medication drips as per orders
• Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure high-quality care
• Utilize EPIC for charting and patient records management

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Must have experience using EPIC
