Registered Nurse - Stepdown Unit

Job Description

The role involves providing patient care in the Stepdown unit, with potential to float to other units as needed. Nurses will be expected to manage the care of patients with a variety of medical conditions and to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in the Stepdown unit.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes in conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and support patient needs.
• Complete necessary documentation accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for prior to travel.
• 18 months of recent Stepdown experience required; travel experience considered.
• Must possess a Permanent Ohio license or Compact State license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
• Must work at least every other holiday.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation, achieving acceptable scores.
