Registered Nurse - Stepdown Unit

This position operates on a Day/Night rotating schedule with 3x12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Stepdown Unit provides specialized care for patients transitioning from higher to lower levels of care. This role involves monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and evaluate their condition.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about health management and care plans.
• Document patient care and changes in condition accurately in the charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• MUST HAVE 18 months of permanent experience as a Registered Nurse in a stepdown or progressive care unit prior to travel.
• Active Ohio RN license or a compact state license is required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
