Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 3x12.0 - Friday - Saturday 7pm - 7:30am EST with holidays, on call, callback, and per unit needs. On-call requirement: 2-3 call shifts per month.

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the scanning procedure. This role requires effective communication with patients and physicians, meticulous record-keeping, and adherence to departmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety.
• Insert IVs when necessary and position patients safely.
• Document all necessary components within EPIC, including image identification.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety within the scanning facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS licensure as a CT Technologist (must obtain prior to starting position).
• Completion of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology.
• Two (2) years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with Siemens equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of EPIC is highly desirable.
