Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 (4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to handle a patient ratio of 1:6 in a busy acute care setting, with a focus on telemetry monitoring and care for adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit.
• Monitor patient vitals and telemetry readings to assess patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
• Float to other units (IMC, ED) as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• ACLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience, particularly in telemetry.
• Experience with total joint patients, surgical patients, and managing acute on chronic medical conditions preferred.
