Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the Interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Provide timely patient information and status during team conferences.
• Accountable for accurate, succinct, and timely documentation of all assessments and interventions.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and prioritize patient education.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, setting priorities and delegating tasks effectively.
• Contribute positively to the team environment and participate in team-building activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift.
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside critical care clinical experience required.
