Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Night shift: 7 PM to 7:30 AM

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and through delegation of assignments by the Nurse House Supervisor, the Registered Nurse will independently implement the nursing process to provide safe and effective patient care throughout selected assigned hospital nursing departments. The nurse will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized, age-appropriate care to patients served in these departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide break relief and supplemental staffing to RNs in various departments, including Emergency, Medical Surgical/Swing Bed, and Skilled Nursing.
• Autonomously or under direction, assist in any department for which competency has been established.
• Maintain proof of competency to ensure standards of patient care are met.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of one year acute care experience within the past two years.
• At least 6 months recent experience in an Emergency or Critical Care setting.
• Current unencumbered California RN License.
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers, ACLS, and PALS (BLS must be from American Heart).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
