Schedule

Shifts are 3x12 hours, with a rotation between day (07:00 - 19:30) and night (19:00 - 07:30) shifts. The facility will do their best to honor travelers' preferred shifts but reserves the right to rotate them if necessary.

Job Description

We are seeking a Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse with a minimum of 18 months of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry. The candidate is expected to provide high-quality patient care and collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes. The nurse will work closely with patients undergoing various medical and surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort during their stay.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the Med/Surg Tele unit.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and behaviors.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families about health management and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry prior to travel assignments.
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand at time of submission.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation.
