Professional Staff Nurse (RN) - Pediatric and Adult Med/Surg

Schedule

Rotating shifts, either 0645-1915 or 1845-0715, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Professional Staff Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care to both pediatric and adult medical-surgical patients. As a key member of the care delivery team, the RN establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and families to achieve optimal patient outcomes across the continuum of care. The RN demonstrates clinical expertise, professional accountability, and a commitment to excellence in nursing practice while promoting the health and well-being of the communities served.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, colleagues, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, enthusiasm, and commitment to high-quality patient care.
• Promote a culture of respect by recognizing cultural differences and holding self and peers accountable for healthy professional relationships.
• Apply the nursing process within the framework of Relationship-Based Care to create a healing, patient-centered environment.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in partnership with patients and families, addressing clinical, psychosocial, safety, and spiritual needs.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, clearly articulating patient conditions, care plans, and recommendations.
• Support the development of students, new staff, and colleagues; may serve as a preceptor or mentor.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in the state where the facility is located, or a multistate license through the Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Clearances required: Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills required to provide age-appropriate care and effectively interact with pediatric and adult patients.
