Schedule

Shift: 19:00-07:00, 36 guaranteed hours weekly. Weekend requirements include 2 of 4 weekends per schedule, with the possibility of straight weekends if preferred by the candidate.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Neuro Med Surg unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to our adult population experiencing neurological conditions. The role requires competence in managing various patient conditions and the ability to perform assessments and treatments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Caring for patients with neurological conditions, including CVA, TIA, and seizures.
• Monitoring patient vitals and managing medication administration.
• Assisting patients with activities of daily living and rehabilitation efforts.
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Engaging in patient and family education regarding health management and support services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Neuro Med Surg.
• NIH Stroke Scale and Swallow Screen certification preferred.
• Competence in dysrhythmia management; must pass a dysrhythmia and math dosage test on day one of orientation.
