Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Neuro Med Surg unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care for adults with neurological conditions, including those recovering from strokes and other related ailments. You will be responsible for monitoring and assessing patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients and assess their needs to provide the best possible care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and ongoing care requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a Neuro Med Surg setting.
• NIH Stroke Scale and Swallow Screen certifications preferred.
• Competence in dysrhythmia and ability to pass the dysrhythmia and math dosage test on the first day of orientation.
