Registered Nurse - Oncology Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed.)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in an oncology unit catering to patients with various diagnoses such as cancer, hematology disorders, ESRD, diabetes, GI issues, abdominal pain, and dermatology conditions. The role includes administering medication, monitoring patient health, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients in the oncology unit
• Administer chemotherapy and other necessary medications
• Monitor patient vital signs and overall condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Float to various departments as required

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical and Oncology nursing
• Current AHA BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Chemo certification required
• Active NY RN license and verification report (NURSYS)
• Valid driver's license with an address matching demographics
• Experience with EPIC EMR system
