Registered Nurse - Cardiac Unit

Schedule

This is a 36-hour per week contract position, primarily on day shift from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, requiring every other weekend availability. There is no call requirement.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will work primarily on the 4 South Cardiac unit but will also occasionally float between various Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Respiratory, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarders. The RN must possess proficiency in Epic EMR and will be tested for Telemetry skills on the first day.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac patients and other assigned units.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, ensuring patient safety and care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Epic EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license with a minimum of 3 years of current/recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience.
• Proficient in reading Telemetry; will be tested on day one.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Current proficiency in Epic EMR is mandatory; refresher classes or one-on-one sitting are not options.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position, with an employment start date of October 19, 2026.
