ICU Registered Nurse - Inpatient Observation Unit

Schedule

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to staff a fast-paced, 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit. This unit will cater to a diverse patient population, managing both lower and higher acuity patients, and may include trauma overflow beds as well as mid holds. Nurses may be required to float to other areas of competency based on patient acuity needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an observation unit.
• Adapt to changing patient acuity and clinical needs efficiently.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• TNCC certification is preferred.
