Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse with a focus on Medical/Surgical care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telemetry nursing and be passionate about providing quality patient care. This role requires a commitment to excellence and adherence to the highest standards of nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and report any significant changes.
• Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.
• Educate patients and their families about medical procedures, medications, and aftercare.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in a Medical/Surgical or Telemetry unit.
• Active Ohio nursing license or compact state license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
• One recent professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying is required.
