Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry

Schedule

This position offers a day shift schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical/Telemetry unit will provide nursing care to patients within an acute care setting. The role requires effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and adherence to established nursing standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patients' condition and progress.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 12 months of recent, permanent experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry nursing.
• Active and valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license required at the time of submission.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start.
• One recent professional reference from a supervisory role in the specialty applying for.
