Registered Nurse - Stepdown Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position with the potential for extension.

Schedule

Night and Day shifts available: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30 or 07:00 - 19:30) with rotating schedules as needed based on operational needs.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Stepdown Unit will provide patient care in a progressive care environment. Responsibilities may include floating to additional units to care for the same patient population as needed. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Stepdown Unit.
• Monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changing conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in a similar role.
• Active and valid Ohio license or compact state license required.
• Candidates must hold current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred but not required.
• Reference from a manager or supervisor in the specialty applying for is required.
