Operating Room Circulator Nurse (Travel RN)

Days, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with required call and holidays.

Job Description

The Operating Room Circulator Nurse provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care in a Level III Trauma facility. This role is crucial for ensuring patient safety and workflow coordination during surgical procedures across various specialties, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient care throughout the intraoperative phase.
• Diligently maintain a sterile field and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare for surgical cases, including equipment and supply management.
• Document patient information accurately and handle specimens appropriately.
• Administer medications and provide assessment and advocacy for patients.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to promote seamless surgical care delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in Operating Room nursing.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in General, Ortho, OBGYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand, and Podiatry surgeries is essential.
• Current RN license and adherence to state regulations required.
