7 PM - 7 AM, with every 3rd weekend, and two Mondays and Fridays per 4-week scheduling period.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Surgical Specialty Unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on post-operative care and patient management. This unit specializes in various surgical procedures, requiring keen attention to detail and advanced nursing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient load of 4:1 (5:1 with a patient care tech).
• Perform procedures such as ostomy management, NGT placement, and Foley catheter placement.
• Provide wound care and IV administration, including blood and nutritional supplementation.
• Utilize advanced equipment including Alaris IV Pumps, telemetry, and medication dispensing systems.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have Med-surg experience.
• Advanced understanding of post-operative care.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
