Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in an emergency department setting. The RN will assess patient needs, administer appropriate treatments, and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and triage patients as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and condition changes.
• Provide emergency care for critical conditions such as trauma, cardiac events, and other urgent medical situations.
• Utilize Epic charting for documentation of patient care and treatment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and improve patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid RN license in South Carolina or a Compact license.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience is required.
• Previous experience with Epic documentation is preferred.
