Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide specialized care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) focusing on pediatric patients. This role requires a dedicated professional who is skilled in delivering high-level respiratory care and can operate effectively in various settings, including potential floating to children's rehabilitation and various NICU units.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and therapeutic procedures to pediatric patients in critical care settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies with appropriate interventions.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatrics, NICU, and PICU with high-level care.
• Current Ohio RRT license.
• NBRC certification, BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS credentials, all active and in hand at time of submission.
• Two professional references from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the last 12 months.
