Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric Care

Assignment Duration

This is an 8 to 12-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide care to pediatric patients in the NICU, PICU, and CVICU. The therapist may also float to Shaker Children's Rehab, Fairview NICU, Akron NICU, and Hillcrest NICU as needed. Candidates must possess relevant certifications and a strong background in pediatric respiratory care.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy to pediatric patients in critical care settings.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat respiratory disorders.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide education to families and caregivers regarding respiratory health.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a high-level pediatric acute care setting.
• Active Ohio RRT license required.
• Current certifications: NBRC, BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS, all must be active and in hand at the time of submission.
• Experience in NICU, PICU, and CVICU preferred.
