Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the NICU Level II will provide care for neonatal patients requiring intensive monitoring and treatment. The nurse will attend all high-risk deliveries and Cesarean sections, ensuring appropriate care for both stable and compromised newborns.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the condition of assigned neonates.
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to formulate and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide support and education to families regarding neonatal care.
• Float to Labor & Delivery (L&D) for well baby couplet care as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license in the state of New Mexico.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Experience in a NICU setting is preferred but not required.
