Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Schedule

Day shift, 4x12-hour schedule (06:30 - 19:00). This is a 13-week contract position. Weekend coverage of 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period is required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit. The RN will provide care to adults and geriatric patients, ensuring the highest quality of nursing care and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6.
• Administer medications and participate in patient care management.
• Respond to rapid response team activations as needed.
• Utilize Epic for electronic charting and documentation.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of recent RN experience is required.
• BLS certification is required; CPI certification preferred.
• Travel experience is required; first-time travelers are accepted.
• Active RN license is required (NM/Compact license accepted).
