Registered Nurse - NICU (Level 3/4)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years of experience in a Level 3 or Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to premature and critically ill infants, participating in special procedures and advanced neonatal interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for infants with varying degrees of illness, including premature (as early as 22 weeks) and surgical infants.
• Monitor and manage ventilatory support and administer medications as prescribed.
• Participate in special procedures such as therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide therapy, and central line care.
• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage patient charting using EPIC and other clinical systems.
• Handle family communications and support, providing education and resources as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years experience in Level 3 or Level 4 NICU is required.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Experience with ventilators and high-risk deliveries is preferred.
• Must be open to floating within the facility as needed.
