Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse - Nights

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), requiring every other weekend availability.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS Tele RN) will provide care for patients requiring monitoring and telemetry services. This is a new unit currently under development, with opportunities to contribute to the establishment of best practices in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care to patients on a telemetry unit.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to telemetric data.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Float within the facility as needed to meet patient care requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience required.
• Current South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
• Experience with telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of cardiac tele patients is essential.
