Schedule

3x12 hour night shifts, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with weekend requirements every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telemetry nursing and demonstrate the ability to manage complex patient needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage telemetry patients with various diagnoses including diabetes, hypertension, and cardiac conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record system (Epic).
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, utilizing advanced nursing skills.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse with a current SC license or Compact license in hand prior to start.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a telemetry nursing role.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required; NIHSS certification is preferred.
• Previous charge experience and community hospital experience preferred.
