Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (L&D) Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night Shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30). Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our high-risk, high-volume Labor & Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced environment and preference will be given to those with high-risk experience. Candidates will float between postpartum and antepartum units as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide care during labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and newborn.
• Function as a Baby Nurse, overseeing the immediate care of the newborn until transferring to postpartum.
• Administer medication and IV therapy following established protocols.
• Maintain positive interdisciplinary communication and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Perform essential newborn assessments and administer required medications such as Vitamin K injections.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery or high-risk obstetric settings.
• Current RN license with compact license accepted.
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP. Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate.
• Supervisory references required to support experience.
