Job Description

Select Medical prioritizes patient safety and employee safety across all levels of care. Employees are encouraged to make safe choices while adhering to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans aimed at progression towards discharge.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge, ensuring timely equipment trials and patient/family training.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
• Document medical records accurately and timely, including all necessary patient care documentation.
• Participate in the student program to provide supervision and complete evaluations as appropriate.
• Create an individualized professional development plan and pursue continuing education and professional growth.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Engage in patient and professional advocacy efforts, including community events and professional memberships.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to maximizing quality of services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• Must hold a valid, current State license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Previous inpatient rehab experience is preferred.
