Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients while designing functional treatment programs to facilitate an effective return to community activities. The therapist will also serve as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
• Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in the student program, providing a positive learning environment.
• Create an individualized professional development plan and pursue continuing education and professional growth.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Demonstrate awareness of and contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Desire for a 6-month contract.
