Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Trauma OR provides optimal patient care utilizing advanced nursing skills and knowledge. This position is accountable for individualized patient outcomes through the complete episode of care, focusing on comprehensive nursing services for patients of all ages, including their families and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for trauma, neurosurgery, urology, vascular, and other surgical patients.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize scientific knowledge to manage patient care and address health problems effectively.
• Engage families and caregivers in the assessment and planning of care.
• Fulfill performance standards as per departmental age-specific competency requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of experience in a Trauma OR setting.
• Current NV State RN license prior to start.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS.
