Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Surgery department provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. This role is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over the entire episode of care and involves comprehensive nursing services for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in the surgical setting.
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
• Provide patient education and support for families.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as necessary.
• Maintain a focus on quality standards and age-specific competency requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of Surgery experience required.
• Nevada RN license required prior to start.
• Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS.
