Registered Nurse - Nursing Unit

Schedule

This position requires 3 × 11.5-hour shifts per week, totaling 35 hours. The shifts are scheduled from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with a 60-minute unpaid lunch break. Weekend and holiday coverage is expected based on unit needs.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic nursing unit. The nurse will primarily work in medicine and surgical units, with potential floating to the Emergency Department to care for admitted patients. While there, maintaining a ratio of 1:5 is crucial.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in medical and surgical nursing units.
• Occasionally float to the Emergency Department for care of admitted patients.
• Administer medications and care as per established protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN licensure required.
• Experience in medicine and surgical nursing preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications may be required.
• Ability to float to various units as needed.
