Job Description

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for providing safe and effective speech-language pathology and dysphagia services. This includes executing appropriate evaluations, treatments, and education designed to address the communication and swallowing needs of patients. Effective communication with patients, families/caregivers, and team members is essential, fostering a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate communication and swallowing abilities of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Educate patients and families about speech and swallowing disorders.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Promote teamwork and collaboration within the Rehabilitation department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon Speech-Language Pathology license required.
• Certificate of Clinical Compliance from the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association, or active participation in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required.
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
• Ability to travel to multiple points of care.
