Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

40-hour, day shift, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, every other weekend and holiday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient care plans while ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols. This role involves collaborating with patients and families to provide education and prepare for discharge, as well as supervising nursing interventions performed by others.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and document findings in accordance with established standards.
• Deliver patient care that respects individual dignity and promotes positive self-regard.
• Ensure accurate medication administration and IV therapy as per physician orders.
• Utilize pain management techniques and assess pain levels effectively.
• Maintain and troubleshoot patient care equipment related to surgical care.
• Promote professional development through teaching and training opportunities.
• Identify potential risks to patient safety and respond appropriately.
• Provide timely reports on patient status to maintain continuity of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current MA RN license required.
• ACLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.
• 1 year of Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Pediatrics experience preferred.
