Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 12-hour day shifts, including every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role requires the ability to float to various medical-surgical units as needed, ensuring all patients receive attentive and individualized care.

Responsibilities

• Provision of nursing care to medical-surgical patients, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to plan and implement patient care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families about health management and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of current Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion is strongly required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be current at the time of profile upload.
• Massachusetts RN license is required for this position.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
