Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Traveler

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 12-hour days, 48 hours per week. Every other weekend and holidays are required if needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team on a traveling assignment. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and a willingness to float to any medical-surgical unit as required. Nursing responsibilities will include providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating effectively with all team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
• Support and educate patients and their families regarding health and wellness.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of current Medical Surgical nursing experience (required).
• Telemetry experience (required).
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion (strongly required).
• Current Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile).
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be in hand at profile upload.
• Meditech Expanse experience (highly preferred).
• The traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment.
• Permanent address must be included in the profile.
