Pediatric Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating Day/Night shifts: 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30 / 19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

The Pediatric CNA/PCT will provide essential support to patients in a pediatric setting, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients. The role requires flexibility to work both day and night shifts, as well as an expectation to float to various units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Perform routine health checks, including monitoring vital signs and recording changes in patient condition.
• Provide care for patients with special needs such as tracheostomy or feeding tubes.
• Facilitate safe patient transfers and mobilization, utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort through careful observation and proactive interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric, NICU, or acute care setting.
• Active Maryland State CNA license.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with trachs, G-tubes, NG tubes, brain injury, and spinal cord patients preferred.
