Occupational Therapist - Acute Care

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule (07:00 - 17:00), with 3 weekend days required per month. Flexibility on 8 or 10-hour days may be accommodated, with preference for 10-hour shifts.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will float between units within the hospital, providing necessary occupational therapy services to assigned units. Training will be provided, and the therapist will not be required to float to different hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Implement therapy interventions to improve patients' ability to perform daily activities.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document patient progress in the electronic medical record system (Epic).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a current Occupational Therapy (OT) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• A minimum of 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is required.
