Occupational Therapist - Outpatient Hand Therapy

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 4x10-Hour (07:30 - 18:00), Monday to Friday.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for patient evaluation, development, and implementation of treatment plans to support patient rehabilitation in outpatient hand therapy settings. Candidates should have experience with post-operative hand surgeries and splinting. Certification as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations to assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions for patients recovering from hand surgeries.
• Demonstrate expertise in splinting and rehabilitation techniques specific to hand therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and progress notes using Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
• Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Experience in outpatient hand therapy with specific expertise in post-op hand surgeries and splinting.
• Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Oregon or eligibility for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire.
