Job Description

The Pediatric CNA/PCT will provide essential care for pediatric patients by assisting with basic activities of daily living, monitoring patient vitals, and ensuring a safe and clean environment. The role requires engaging with patients with varying diagnoses, including traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and post-surgical orthopedic patients.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with transfers, bathing, turning, and hygiene tasks.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, along with other patient assessments.
• Providing support for feeding, ambulation, and lifting using specialized equipment.
• Participating in the overall care and comfort of pediatric patients, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the patient environment and equipment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric and acute care setting.
• Active Maryland CNA license is required.
• BLS certification is necessary.
• Experience with tracheostomy care, G-tubes/NG tubes, and working with patients with neurological disorders is preferred.
