Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Rehabilitation

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, Monday through Friday, from 08:00 to 16:30, including a required unpaid 30-minute lunch break.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist (OT) will primarily work in the inpatient rehabilitation unit with occasional floating to the acute care setting, based on the rehabilitation census. This role includes providing therapy to patients recovering from disabilities due to injury or illness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Implement therapy interventions aimed at enhancing patient functionality and independence.
• Provide education and training to patients and their families regarding home exercises and safety.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote optimal patient care.
• Utilize specialized equipment and assistive devices to facilitate rehabilitation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an inpatient rehabilitation or acute care setting is required.
• A valid Occupational Therapist licensure is required, pending applications will be considered.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
