Registered Nurse - Float Pool

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts from 1845 to 0715, scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. Please note that there is no guarantee of hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care across various medical and surgical units. This position requires flexibility to float between departments and adapt to different patient care environments. Orientation time will be provided for each unit.

Responsibilities

• Delivering patient care in accordance with established standards and practices.
• Utilizing Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and managing chest tubes.
• Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Assuming assigned duties in various departments, including the Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasionally the Cardiovascular Unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 to 10 years of nursing experience required.
• Active State of Hawaii RN license is required before starting the assignment.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS. Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC.
