Night shifts: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in high-risk Labor and Delivery to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This position requires adherence to AWHONN guidelines and will involve floating between units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for midwifery clients and private OBs during labor and delivery.
• Function as a Baby Nurse during delivery and provide continuous newborn care until transfer to postpartum.
• Monitor and manage high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
• Perform newborn assessments, including administering Vitamin K and eye care.
• Assist with procedures such as cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and maintain accurate patient records using Epic.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, with a strong preference for candidates with high-risk experience.
• Current RN license (compact license accepted).
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP.
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.
• Recent supervisory references are required.
